Preventing Heat Stroke:

Tips and Precautions for Staying Safe in Hot Weather.

This post is about Heat Stroke, which is a condition where the body’s temperature increases due to exposure to hot weather.

This can result in a loss of work capacity, loss of body salts, unconsciousness, and in severe cases, death. Heat Stroke can be preceded by Heat Cramps and Heat Exhaustion.

To prevent Heat Stroke, one can take the following precautions:

  1. Wear light and cotton clothing in lighter shades.
  2. Wear sunglasses and a cap to protect your face and forehead from the sun’s rays.
  3. Avoid cold drinks, as they can be unhealthy and cause a sore throat.
  4. Keep a pack of Glucon-D with you and drink it in short intervals to stay hydrated.
  5. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to replace the fluids lost due to sweating.
  6. Eat freshly cut salads like cucumbers and tomatoes, which are rich in water content and minerals that help to cool the body in hot weather.
  7. Do not sit too close to the air conditioner, as direct exposure to cold air can be harmful if you are in a mixed climatic environment of hot and cold.

By following these precautions, one can avoid the risk of Heat Stroke and enjoy the summer season.
